1. Find the best method of communication that works for you
In every situation, there may be a better way of communicating. However the biggest secret is that you need to think concise – concise and the to the point – exact and specific. Think of the 5 Ws and the H- who, what, where, when, why and how.  If you can answer all this in your communication your communication will be much clearer.

2. Know your message – before you communicate put some thought into this. This is totally true in written communications and when making presentations.

Think before you speak and practice your thoughts beforehand when this is important.  Learn to control your fears too. One way is to focus upon what you are passionate about.

3. What is the true art of conversation? Make sure it is not one sided.

4. What does your listener want? Listen carefully and find out exactly what they want and focus upon that!

5. Increase your vocabulary over a period of time. This increases your credibility and you have a greater choice of words.

6. Avoid daydreaming – here’s how. Focus on the speaker’s point of view.

7. Gender neutral language – include everyone in your comments
